Brain Cave- Weight to Relax
I was first turned onto these guys while recording the Hamilton Handshake guys about a year ago. Ryan asked me to go see this drummer he wouldn't shut up about, and once I saw the band I realized why he was so in a trance. They had a presence that didn't look like a local band. A confidence in each instrument that translated into an extremely tight, loud, and interesting band.
Their songs are well written and played with an aggressive force, without it being too much. They also happened to be extremely cool dudes who have become friends of mine. They were on time, curious of how things worked on a recording end to make each part sound as good as it could, and had a really clear, vivid idea of what they wanted their record to sound like.
A rare, amazing, and very refreshing band all around!
