Jesuit

One of the heaviest bands ever to come out of Virgina.  Formed in 1995 by ex-Current member Nate Newton, the band released a demo, and then a self titled 7" EP the following year (produced by Kurt Ballou) on Reservoir Records.  Three years later, a tour or two under their belts, and the addition of Dillinger Escape Plan's Brian Benoit, they released a second self titled EP (also produced by Kurt Ballou) released by Hydra Head Records.  Jesuit broke up sometime after this, Nate Newton moved to Massachusetts and went on to join/start Old Man Gloom, Doomriders, and bass in Converge.

Jesuit is no longer active :( , but in 2011 Magic Bullet records released a Discography record consisting of the demo, both EP's, and all of their compilation tracks.  They did some reunion shows with Unbroken that year as well.  The album was remixed at God City by Kurt Ballou, and it sounds more crushing than ever.  One of the heaviest, noisiest, and loudest bands (and short lived) bands to ever grace one of the most monotonous scenes ever.
